Rangers stormed to a 5-0 interval lead against Inverness CT at Ibrox in November 2008 - with Kris Boyd helping himself himself to a hat-trick - to equal the biggest half-time advantage in the 10-year history of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
There have been two other occasions when a club were five goals ahead at the break - and Dundee were the team on the receiving end twice in the space of four days in 1999/00.
On Sunday February 27, 2000 Rangers romped to a 6-1 interval lead at Dens Park thanks to a Rod Wallace hat-trick and goals from Tony Vidmar, Jorg Albertz and Seb Rozental. Vidmar added the seventh late in a 7-1 victory.
Three days later, the Dark Blues travelled to Celtic Park and were 5-0 down after 45 minutes. Tommy Johnson and Mark Viduka weighed in with doubles and Stilian Petrov also netted. Johnson completed his hat-trick in the second half as Celtic won 6-2.
There have been 11 matches since the SPL began when a team have been 4-0 in front by half-time, most recently when Celtic made a great start at Motherwell in September of this year, eventually winning 4-2 at Fir Park.
