About the Scottish Premier League
European Professional Football Leagues

The Scottish Premier League is a founding and leading member of the Association of European Professional Football Leagues (EPFL) which was founded in 2005.
There are now 28 member leagues of an EPFL body that was formed as it was felt there was a clear need for an organisation to represent the views of leagues and clubs on areas of mutual interest and concern both on and off the pitch. Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros is the CEO and David Richards is Chairman.
The EPFL - based in Nyon, Switzerland - has formed relationships with the football family, FIFA and UEFA, and EU institutions in order to ensure that its purpose is understood and heard.
Its mission is to foster cooperation, friendly relations and unity between the European Professional Football Leagues, exploring common goals with football authorities and relevant stakeholders in order to positively transform and add significant value to the football landscape.
