Weekend preview

The majority of SPL clubs are involved in friendly matches this weekend while newly-promoted Inverness CT are at home to Queen's Park in the first round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.

Walter Smith's Rangers play AEK Athens in their final match in the Sydney Festival of Football, having already beaten Blackburn Rovers and drawn with the hosts.

Celtic are in London for the Emirates Cup. Neil Lennon's team take on Lyon on Saturday and Arsenal on Sunday as they prepare for the second leg of their European clash with Braga.

Aberdeen are away to Mark McGhee's former club Brighton and Dundee United travel to Hull City. Hearts are also in England for a testiominal match for Neil Harris of Millwall.

Hibernian head for Carlisle on Sunday while Kilmarnock are up against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road tonight. St Mirren meet Ballymena tomorrow as they begin their three-match tour of Northern Ireland while St Johnstone host a Manchester United XI in a testimonial for Alan Main.
