Well claim second place

Gary Smith grabbed his 17th goal of the season to finish top scorer in the Clydesdale Bank U19 League as Motherwell beat St Johnstone 4-0 at the weekend to claim second place in the table.

Robert McHugh hit a hat-trick at Bathgate as Gordon Young's side finished on a high with an impressive haul of 58 goals from their 22 games.

Champions Celtic signed off with a 2-0 win away to Hearts with goals from Filip Twardzik and Michael Ordish while Rangers had to settle for third place.

They beat Falkirk 3-0 on Saturday thanks to a Max Wright hat-trick but Billy Kirkwood's side went down 1-0 to St Mirren on Monday. Jon McShane hit the winner with 14 minutes remaining.

Dundee United, who lost just three games all season, drew 3-3 with Kilmarnock in their final fixture. Stuart Armstrong, Dale Hilson and Mike Lee scored for United, with Joe Slattery, Ross Davidson and Michael Doyle, in the final seconds, on target for Killie.
