Meechan lifts Well to second

Steven Meechan scored the only goal as Motherwell beat Hearts 1-0 on Tuesday to move up to second place in the Clydesdale Bank U19 League behind champions Celtic.

In the day's other game, David Heagney netted in St Johnstone's 1-0 win over St Mirren as Alex Cleland's in-form team climbed to ninth in the table.
