Post-match reaction

What the managers said after Tuesday's games in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League:

Kilmarnock 0-2 Rangers

Jimmy Calderwood "I thought we were in the ascendancy for 50 minutes and more than matched Rangers. We had the best chances in the first half and we deserved to go ahead. Rangers didn't cause us any problems in the first half and it was poor goals we gave away."

Walter Smith "Steven Whittaker is doing very well considering most of the goals have been from the full-back position. It was a welcome one tonight, I felt we had to lift our game in the second half, and I was delighted we got the goal and then another five minutes later. I'm delighted to see the goals being spread out - although I'm sure Kris Boyd won't agree with that!"

St Mirren 0-0 Motherwell

Gus MacPherson "Andy Dorman was only on for seconds when the first chance came to him but the second one he snatched at it. He was just desperate to score. We have drawn eight games at home and I would have said that in four of them, we could have had maximum points."

Craig Brown "I don't want to have too many thoughts about the game because I can't be too enthusiastic in the way we played. Sometimes when you get a point like that you are a bit embarrassed. Andy Dorman missed a good chance for St Mirren and we hardly created a chance."
