Rangers march on
Steven Whittaker and Kenny Miller struck in the second half as Rangers beat Kilmarnock 2-0 at Rugby Park on Tuesday to go 13 points clear at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
Whittaker opened the scoring in 55 minutes and Miller pounced from close range six minutes later as Walter Smith's men stretched their fine SPL run to just one defeat in the past 38 matches.
In the night's other game, Motherwell extended their unbeaten league sequence to 11 matches, during which they have racked up nine shut-outs, with a 0-0 draw against St Mirren in Paisley.
Andy Dorman missed two good chances to give Saints their first SPL victory since January but the stalemate was enough to edge Gus MacPherson's men four points clear of bottom club Falkirk.
