Post-match reaction

What the managers said after Saturday's games in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League:

Aberdeen 1-0 Rangers

Mark McGhee "The boys showed a heroic commitment to keep them at bay after the sending off so all in all I felt we deserved the three points. But the most important thing for me was the first hour where we took on Rangers on their terms and I thought we were the better team."

Walter Smith
"Although we had a lot of territorial possession there wasn't any great creation in what we were doing. That has been with us at different times over the season and, from our own point of view, that was the disappointing factor more than anything else."

Celtic 3-1 St Mirren

Tony Mowbray
"The three points were the most satisfying thing. We try to play with style and we work on things but ultimately it's about taking the points and it's been a good weekend for us. But I will always be a performance-related coach because good performances give you consistency."

Gus MacPherson
"I can complain about the manner of our defending, how poor the goals we lost were because I thought we had done the hardest bit in containing Celtic for the first 30 minutes. We passed the ball reasonably well but then we got a wee bit casual and Celtic punished us."

Hibernian 2-0 Falkirk

John Hughes
"I'll take nine games undefeated and we kept a clean sheet, but we're better than what we showed. It's always nice to know I have guys in my locker who can score goals. No matter how it's going they'll come up with the goods, and that was the case today."

Eddie May
"I think the difference in the game was Derek Riordan - two fantastic finishes. People may say the first one was an own goal but I think his technique deserves credit for the goal. I've changed a few things that I needed to change and slowly but surely we're going to get there."

Kilmarnock 1-2 Hearts

Jim Jefferies
"We were so far in front until they scored, but you find out sometimes that the game can kick you in the teeth. We should have been at least three in front but then they went from being lucky to be in the game to 1-0, which gives them something to hang on to."

Csaba Laszlo
"It was important for us to win this game - it showed that we stay together and we have confidence. I care about my players and the club, and today the players definitely gave me something back and I think that relationship is there."

Motherwell 2-2 Dundee United

Jim Gannon
"It was a great game of football, a fantastic and intriguing battle. Dundee United will be delighted that they have come away with a point especially given the circumstances."

Craig Levein
"We probably defended better with 10 men than 11, everyone's reactions were that little bit keener. Motherwell are a very good side. I thought it was a good game, there was plenty going on and both teams tried to pass the ball."

St Johnstone 1-1 Hamilton Accies

Derek McInnes
"I thought we showed enough quality at times to win the game and unfortunately we never took our chances to do that. I felt our play definitely deserved a bit more, but I can't fault the players one iota because I felt they were terrific."

Billy Reid
"It was a bit of a battle. They were probably the team in the ascendancy in the second half, trying to force the issue. Tomas Cerny has pulled off a couple of good saves and we take our point. The disappointing thing for me today was how we played. We're better than that."
