Celtic presented with SPL Reserve League trophy
Celtic received the SPL Reserve League trophy this afternoon after beating Dundee United 4-0.
Willie McStay's side had clinched the title the previous week at Ibrox and got their hands on the silverware today following an emphatic win at Celtic Park.
Mark Millar, Shaun Maloney and Kevin Cawley were all on target in the first half and James Forrest added a fourth after coming on as a substitute.
In the week's other games, Steven Lennon scored twice and John Fleck notched the winner as Rangers hit back to win 3-2 at Inverness, who had gone ahead through an Adam Rooney brace.
Craig Thomson grabbed a double as Hearts won 4-2 against Motherwell at Bathgate but the Steelmen recovered to record a 5-1 win at Kilmarnock the following day. Jamie Pollock and Steven Lawless both netted twice for Well at Rugby Park.
Wayne Sproule got both goals in Falkirk's 2-0 defeat of Hibernian while Aberdeen and
St Mirren drew 1-1 at Brechin - Hallur Hansson equalised for the Dons with five minutes left.
