Easton joins Dundee

Dundee have signed former Hamilton Accies defender Brian Easton following his departure from Burnley after three years at Turf Moor.

The 24-year-old left-back has represented Scotland at U21 and B level and has previous experience in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League with Hamilton.

Dundee climbed off the foot of the table with a 1-0 win away to Hearts on Sunday. Barry Smith's men return to action against Motherwell at Dens Park on Saturday September 15.

Dundee chief executive Scot Gardiner told the club website: "I'm very happy we have secured the services of a quality player like Brian who is the seventh player we have signed in the last few weeks since being notified of our inclusion into the SPL.

"Along with Barry and the Board we are confident that once the injury list clears up and the boys have the time to gel as a team we will be able to push on and make our mark in the SPL. I also wouldn't rule out further additions but these will be within our budget as a fan-owned club."
