Celtic set for Champions League play-off decider

Celtic are aiming to book their place in the group stage of the Champions League for the first time since 2008 when they face Helsingborgs in the second leg of their play-off tie on Wednesday.

Neil Lennon's men hold a 2-0 advantage after the first leg in Sweden thanks to goals from Kris Commons and Georgios Samaras and are closing in a place in Thursday's 5pm BST draw.

Defender Charlie Mulgrew told the Celtic website: "Nobody in that dressing room thinks the tie is donel. The manager has drilled that home to us – we can't get complacent. It's still only half-time and there's a long way to go.

"The emphasis is to win the game at Celtic Park. We are 2-0 up but want to go and win the game. We can't go and sit in and wait for them to come at us, we've got to go and try and score a goal. We know they're a threat and we've got to match them.

"This is probably the biggest game of my career. It's massive for the club and all involved. If we get there I'm sure we can compete there and not just go there to make up the numbers."
