Draw in Edinburgh derby
On-loan Wolves striker Leigh Griffiths earned Hibernian a point in a 1-1 draw at Easter Road on Sunday as Hearts extended their unbeaten run in the Edinburgh derby to 12 matches.
Andy Driver pounced on an error by Alan Maybury to prod the ball past keeper Ben Williams to open the scoring in 29 minutes but Griffiths grabbed the equaliser right on half-time.
The result earns Hibs the first point against their rivals since a 2-2 draw in April 2011 while Hearts join St Mirren on four points at the summit of the early Clydesdale Bank Premier League table.
Hibernian boss Pat Fenlon said: "The attitude and desire was there - we showed a lot of character. When you go a goal down when you've been slightly the better team, it can rock you."
Hearts manager John McGlynn said: " I think we lost the game mentally by not applying ourselves in the proper manner. Lessons to be learned. We never got going so we have got to be grateful we got a point when we didn't play anywhere near the standard we can do."
