Celtic and Aberdeen reach Scottish Cup semis
Holders Celtic defeated Dundee United 4-0 at Tannadice on Sunday to set up a William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final meeting with Hearts or St Mirren at Hampden next month.
United, Scottish Cup winners in 2010, had the better of the tie until Robbie Neilson was sent off for elbowing Georgios Samaras and Neil Lennon's side took full advantage in the second half with goals from Joe Ledley, Samaras, Anthony Stokes and Scott Brown's penalty.
Later in the afternoon, a first-half double from Rory Fallon helped Aberdeen knock out Motherwell 2-1 at Fir Park. Michael Higdon missed a penalty for the hosts, who had Keith Lasley sent off before Nicky Law pulled a goal back. The Dons held on and now face Hibernian.
